Ad Arnold began writing Detective Clover and the Mystery of the Manor in the summer of 2021 when they were fourteen years old. They continued writing until they finished it the summer before twelfth grade. They currently live in the U.S. with their family and mischievous cats.

Arnold gets inspiration from everything they read. Currently, their favourite genres to read are historical fiction, horror, and Victorian-centred non-fiction. When they aren’t writing, they enjoy drawing, playing video games, and staring at various walls in their room.

Although Detective Clover and the Mystery of the Manor is Arnold’s first novel, it will not be their last. They plan on publishing many more works in the Detective Clover universe, as well as short stories in various genres.
